Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson is co-founder of Marathon Fitness. He has a Bachelor of Science, a Masters of Science degree in Biology, and is currently a Doctoral candidate in Gastrointestinal Physiology. He has an extensive personal training background and is a former competitive power lifter and body builder. Currently, Joe serves as a lead trainer for many entities such as the EGX Lifestyle (Eddie George Experience), Professional Football Players Mothers Association (Donavan McNabb’s Mom) – weight loss program for television, Two episodes of MTV Made, Talk of the Town, and the Exercise Segment as the featured expert with Channel 4 News in the morning (9am and 10am show).

Morris Jamison

Morris Jamison

Morris Jamison is the president and co-founder of Marathon Fitness Company. He is an. ISSA certified personal trainer with CPR and first certifications. Jamison is a proud graduate of Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. As a ISSA certified personal trainer, he has extensive training experience over the past fifteen years. Jamison has worked with the likes of gospel legend BeBe Winans, his very first client whom he travelled with and trained on the road for over six years. Morris has been asked to speak for several notable organizations over the years such as; Inroads, Vanderbilt Hospital, and most recently HCA. Jamison is known for his unique ability to educate, motivate, and love his clients all at the same time.

Derrick Hill

Derrick Hill

Derrick Hill has been a personal trainer at Marathon Fitness for 10 years. Mr. Hill is certified through the America College of Sports Medicine. ACSM certified personal trainer is qualified to develop and implement exercize programs for individuals seeking over health improvement. Mr. Hill specializes in working with both amateur and professional athletes. Mr. Hill also utilized his knowledge to help individuals improve their overall health strength and flexibility.

Harold Lercius

Harold Lercius

Harold Lercius is a dually certified ExpertRating professional. His certifications are personal training and sports nutrition. While on a full athletic scholarship to Vanderbilt University, Mr. Lercius obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master’s in Human and Organizational Development at this University. As a Marathon Fitness certified personal trainer, Mr. Lecius trains any individual that is looking for a change to living a healthy lifestyle. He creates a full fitness regime for each client and therir personal goals. Mr. Lercius strongly believes that your body is your temple. The foundation of his training is being physically fit leads to mental and spiritual fitness.

Shanta Batchelor

Shanta Batchelor

Shanta Batchelor has her Personal Training Certification through NASM. She has been a trainer with Marathon Fitness Company since 2010. A fitness enthusiast, she is passionate about helping others live a healthy lifestyle and achieve their weight loss goals. Currently, Shanta is serving as a Church Fit cardio fitness instructor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Outside of the gym, Shanta enjoys trail running, reading and baking. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of TN, Knoxville.

Anissa Pollard

Anissa Pollard

Anissa has been teaching fitness classes and Pilates for the past 5 years and is a fully certified Balanced Body instructor with over 800 hours of training and CEU’s in anatomy, comprehensive training in mat Pilates and equipment Pilates. A native of Louisville and a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, she worked successfully in corporate America for many years. Anissa is married with two daughters and started taking Pilates after the birth of her second daughter in order to strengthen her core and correct issues associated with childbirth. That experience taught her the unique restorative techniques of Pilates which have helped her not only reform her own body but of others as well. Anissa believes deeply in Pilates but also in cross training the body to achieve maximum results. Her approach to Pilates is unique as it incorporates the Pilates principles but then cross trains with other exercise disciplines to achieve the result of an integrally strong and balanced physique.
