Meet the Team

  • "Marathon Joe" Johnson

    Joe Johnson is co-founder of Marathon Fitness. He has a Bachelor of Science, a Masters of Science degree in Biology, and is currently a Doctoral candidate in Gastrointestinal Physiology. He has an extensive personal training background and is a former competitive powerlifter and bodybuilder. Joe has served as lead trainer for many entities including the EGX Lifestyle (Eddie George Experience) and Professional Football Players Mothers Association (Donavan McNabb’s Mom). His warm personality and expert fitness knowledge has landed him on two episodes of MTV Made and numerous talk shows and morning news programs through the years.

  • Derrick Hill

    Derrick Hill has been a personal trainer at Marathon Fitness for 10 years. Mr. Hill is certified through the America College of Sports Medicine. ACSM certified personal trainer is qualified to develop and implement exercize programs for individuals seeking over health improvement. Mr. Hill specializes in working with both amateur and professional athletes. Mr. Hill also utilized his knowledge to help individuals improve their overall health strength and flexibility.

  • Harold Lercius

    Calming, assuring and inspiring as a fitness coach, Harold Lercius is a dually certified ExpertRating professional. His certifications are personal training and sports nutrition. While on a full athletic scholarship to Vanderbilt University, Mr. Lercius obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master’s in Human and Organizational Development at this University. As a Marathon Fitness certified personal trainer, Mr. Lecius trains any individual who is looking to change to living a healthy lifestyle. He creates a full fitness regime for each client and their personal goals. Mr. Lercius believes that your body is your temple.
